There is a new challenge up on the Digistamps4Joy blog this month. As always the theme is 'Anything goes' with an added extra of add some flowers. Which, as you all know, is not really a challenge for me LOL. It would be a challenge if it was DO NOT ADD ANY FLOWERS. hahaha
Anyway, here is my card. I just love this image and all those happy flowers made me smile and forget about being sick for a bit. I am so ready for Spring to start.

You still have 15 days to enter, so hop on over and get your creations in. There are some awesome prizes to be won.

Have a great day everybody, see you soon. (If blogger lets me post!)

New month, new release and new technique for me.

Good May to you all! What a wonderful time of year it is over here. It is time for a new challenge over on the Digistamps4Joy blog . As always the challenge is 'Anything goes" and this month we have added an added twist of 'For mom" in honour of mother's day this month.
I have been intrigues by the 'hot mess canvasses I have seen everyehere, so I decided to give it a go this month.
It starts of by painting the whole canvas in a hot mess pf colours of your choice.
Then I decided to use some of the digi stamps from the store and resize them to fit the canvas. I cut it from vinyl and stuck the vinyl to the canvas. The trivk is to make really sure that the vinyl is stuck properly before you cover the whole canvas with paint in any colour of your choice. I chose white. Wait for the paint to dry and then pull off the vinyl to reveal a colourful design underneath.
And there you have it! A beautiful canvas for Mother's day.  My granddaughter immediately claimed it as her gift to her mom.
Please enter the challenge, you could win some amazing digi stamps.

I am late, I am late....

I am so late with my new release post for Digistamps4Joy.  Woke up late, rushed to be on time for church and walked back into the house with kids coming to visit. I am not complaining at all, just explaining why I am so late with the wonderful new release. It was almost impossible to choose which one of the beautiful new digi's to choose to showcase this morning.

Why don't you hop on over to the blog to see them all? This one is called 'Girl with hearts', isn't she just adorable? The papers and sentiment came from a freebie pack that came with a magazine. She was coloured with my beloved Copics and the lace is from my stash.
School has started this week and we hit the ground running as usual. The new grade 8s are staying after school each day till 3, getting a little taste of all the extra mural activities the school has to offer from the leadership group in grade 12. That means that I am staying at school late every day for the next two weeks!
Have a fantastic week and I hope that 2018 has been treating you all very well so far.

Do not faint, I actually scrapped!!!

Good morning. It is new release time over at Digistamps4Joy. One of the new images is a Springbok, which inspired the LO. When I saw it, I just knew that I had to use it to make a scrapbook page about my youngest and her Springbok (Protea as they are now called) colours.

She started playing Water Polo in junior school at the age of 11. At 13 she played in the Under 16 team for her province and was named goal keeper of the tournament at the national schools tournament. and was selected for the SA u/16 team.

Ever since that day, she dreamed of playing in the National woman's side and was selected for the first time when she was still in school. Because water polo is not subsidized in any way, all players have to pay for the privilege to represent their country. They have to pay for overseas tours and all kit. This is anything from 30 - 50 thousand rand a tour. The only thing they are given, is the badge to sew onto a blazer.

Because  of the high cost, we never got around to buying the blazer that she deserved and worked so hard to get. She recently retired from playing competitive polo and opted to play only socially. When she turned 30 in July, her father and I decided to surprise her with her Springbok blazer.  She was quite emotional when she finally got to wear her blazer for prize giving at school. It warms my heart to see that and to know that even though she had to wait so long to get it, it still means so much to her.

I just could not let this momentous occasion go past without scrapping about it and that little springbok came at just the right time.

Please hop over to the store to see all the other fabulous new releases and see what all the other DT member did with them, You will be blown away.
